From my Shadow series. Heavy drapes block out the unwelcome morning sun. But in this case, the same drapes held our late night lamplight in. I was interested in the way the folds of the velvety fabric stopped the light just short of its final destination. At the edge of the ceiling no light path was complete, but further out, the crispy edges of the angular shadows softened.
